For the fall ‘23 season campaign, Sorel tasked us with integrating live action talent into a stylized animated world. They wanted to call back to the heritage and authenticity of the brand in the three main ways there boots are worn. We achieved this by building moch structures in our studio with tracking markers. We shot all the talent on the Bolt motion control robot and our Red V-Raptor. And then all of the backgrounds were replaced by hand drawn animations and composited together.
